With your budget you are going to have to give up something. I would loose the MMM. You could not give me one but that is another subject. Now finding a good 4x4 tractor with a FEL for $7500ish is tough it can be done. Do your research and you should find something.

You may be better off buying a $3500 Home Owners ZTR like a Cub Cadet and a older Ford 8N or something similar to get you started. Later on you can trade up.

To get all of what you want you are going to have to bit the bullet and spend more money. When it comes to 3-5 year old tractors with all you want you may be better off going with new via the low interest rates going now.

One thing about buying an older domestic tractor like mentioned is...many times more often they will come with some attachments...

When I was shopping nine out of ten 8n or 9n's I looked at or saw advertised came with brushhogs and scrapeblades...sometimes more...about 85% were priced below $3000.00...

I appreciate all the responses. The FEL is a must as the property does need some dirt work.. I have come to terms with budget and realized I just need the FEL for now. And may just pick up a cheapy rider for mowing duties.

Obviously I would like to stay down to one machine, but I have the space so why not I guess. So anyone got a 7,500 with FEL under 500 hours? I can dream right?

Here's what's available in my neighborhood, just to give you an idea of the kind of stuff that fits your budget. You probably can find similar deals in your neck of the woods.

I recently bought my first tractor after looking for almost a year. I wanted a fairly new 25-30hp with hydro, 4WD and FEL and was hoping to spend $10k or so. Well I got what I wanted and then some but went over my budget by almost $4k. No regrets though. I'll just have to wait a little longer to get my front-mount snowblower (more sticker shock).

Sure.. get a ford in the 660, 661, 860, 861, or 2000/4000 4 cyl/5spd, or 2000/3000 3 cyl with 8spd , and power stering and a loader.

All will be most likely 6000$ or less. the 3000/loader will be the highest.. with the 3 digit and 000/4cyl in the 3500$ range.

good old iron with lots hours left on their clocks..

A Kubota B7100 HST or similar tractor should suit you just fine. They can do all the work you have in mind and still be able to turn around on 5 acres and be able to do finish mowing. They work well with the MMM.:D

Most people that have one consider them to be a reliable and very sturdy little tractor.:D

I bought a new one in 1993 and traded it in several years ago for a slightly larger tractor with a backhoe on it. I'd put 3000 hours on it with probably half that loader work.:D

It is doable. Have cash in hand. Do as I do. Find some yuppie with more money than sense. They'll have a shop full of toys. Dirt biks, 4 wheelers, riding mover, power tools, etc. But they don't maintain or service any of them. Pick them appart for the poor maintance, dirty oil, low axle oil, broke greese zerks, dirty air cleaner, etc. and how that will affect the life of the tractor. They will take a low ball price and you will get to know your tractor well, when fixing all the small things.
