Comparison The BX2660 Prices Are Coming In!

Wow. I may have hit a nerve. The only point I was trying to make was that with all things be equal (or at least close enough) that one might see the advantages of spending money in the same area that he or she makes their money and lives.

Just some insight on small market ecomonies. You don't need to agree, but it doesn't hurt to be aware.

Hi Folks,

It was recommended to me to look into a Massey Ferguson before jumping in on the Kubota. I know this is a Kubota forum, but have any of you made a comparison before buying the Kubota?

Yes, I looked JD and NH Boomers. MF did not cross my radar even the the Bota dealer is also a MF dealer. I could not find a reasonably priced used one locally. JD dealer was also being sold so didn't how what the new ownership would be like. NH dealer has excellent parts people but sales staff leaves a lot to be desired. So I made the choice to go with local dealer that has been in business for while. I am a believer in supporting a dealer that supports their customers.

Hi Everyone,

The quotes for a new BX2660 with a front end loader are starting to come in. Here is what I have so far. One dealer asked not to be recognized, so I won't mention any of them.

I was in the same boat last year when I was looking for a BX25. I'm in the next town over (Westford), and know exactly which dealers you are referring to. To be fair, my experiences with the local dealers have been great, but their prices are severely out of whack with what can be had outside New England.

I wound up buying mine thru Messicks in PA, and I can't say enough good things about them. Did the whole thing via email, and then made a long day trip to PA to pick it up. Saved more than enough money to make the trip worthwhile!

I'll be the first person to advocate spending a little more $$ to buy local, but 20% difference (about what I saved) is ridiculous.

I agree. I ventured to Ohio to get mine. In the end, I saved over 20%! Thats a lot of dough that could be put towards implements. Oh, and that included full kubota insurance for 5 years, paid up front!
