Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and how easy the fix is. I can turn the front wheels to the left but when I turn to the right the tie rod on the right side is hitting the wheel base. Is it as simple as replacing the tie rod? Picture is attached.

Thanks!

I think you first need to check the bolts holding your hydraulic steering cylinder in place. It appears one may be missing, allowing the cylinder to rotate some.

The steering cylinder should be bolted tightly to the front drive axle with hex bolts and lock washers.

Is it me or the tie rod looks crooked ?

Totally agree with Peter (Seymore). That cylinder rod should not move like that.. It is easy to replace a tie rod end, but I don't think that is your problem.

Looking at the picture, it appears that the steering rod, is bent. The rod should be parallel to the front axle case. In the picture it appears to be angled toward the axle case. Compair it to the other side to confirm.

Yes it does look bent but it cant be if he can steer in the other direction. Those steering cyls have a single rod that extends thru the cylinder and out each end. If one end were bent it would bind badly in the other direction.
I think SetmourBota has it right.

It might be dragging, and not be noticed over the hydraulic assist present. My BX23 steering is so light, it only takes one finger to steer it. I would expect the BX2200 is the same.

Yeah, understood. Bent as much as it appears Id be guessing yould need a 4# hammer to drive it in tho. I would sure like to know the situation. Too bad the OP hasnt come back...
