Is there a Difference in these chippers? Worth the $?

I was told $3200 for the Wallenstein BX42 at my local dealer. The piggy bank doesn't hold that much right now.

The greatest feature is that half of the flywheel chamber folds open by removing one bolt. So changing the knives is a snap!

Published MSRP on the BX42S is $2820.00 so $3200 is a bit high. My guess is he doesnt stock any?? If he wont come down give us a call we have them on the lot.

With Rural delivery mine will be here in 7-10 days and under 2800.

Looks like you have a dealer relatively close though from one reply. See the free blade deal that Wallenstien has on though. For me that covered the cost of delivery and then some.

I hope to take next Friday off and have the tractor out waiting for delivery.

I paid $2,438 out the door one year ago or the unit without the hydraulic feeder, so your price quote is very high for the non hydraulic unit.

Today I pruned you two Mulberry trees and ran it all through the Wallenstein BX42. Nothing larger than three inches but a lot of the stuff was around 10' long. It rests on a four wheel dolly that I built when not in use. Love that chipper.
