I have had a '09 camo version for about a year. The Teryx is a very good machine. A little for stiffer suspension than a polaris but I was aiming for more sport than utility. My only negative is the solid rear axle can be hard on grass and turf. I wish it had more of limited slip or self locking rear end. The front axle variable rate with full or partial lock is a nice feature, but when I engage the front, I am wanting the max traction and the limited slip front is not as useful IMHO.

The EFI and instrument cluster (including fuel gage) is now standard on the 09s and newer. I was hauling 8 men across CRP land hunting last fall and it handled it well. Still had more suspension to go!

The engine oil is a bit of pain to change. Go to one of the teryx forums and find out how to change instead of using the manual. The easiet was is to remove nearly of the bolts in the main skid plate. Leave on bolt near the right front of the skid plate, swing the plate to the side and the filter is much easier to change. It is extremely difficult to reach using the manual.

I drive in CRP and grass. I had to place an aluminium window screen cover over the radiator screen to keep out the seeds which were plugging my radiator.

If you have the 1/2 windshield, raise it up 2" to let air flow through in the summer to get rid of the heat build up in the cab area. The heat build up in the 08s is worse compared to the newer models.

i think you ment locked rear end and not solid rear axle the teryx has irs .but like the rhino it's a unlockable rear end and it does do alot of damage not to mention very hard on the front tires.

Yes, locked rear end. Not solid axle.
