My mouser is being harassed

That's was I was thinking...two mousers are better than one.....:D

Don, when you consider that your new house is built right in a transition area between a semi-open mesquite scrub and prickly pear pasture going to woods, there is no telling how many wild critters will show up. I think you know that your little kitty is just one of many "mousers" roaming around your area. We are not nearly as remote as you are, and our kitties come in and stay in our garage every night. Luckily, we got our boys fixed before they established bad spraying habits, so mostly their scent is confined to the cat-box area.

I was talking to my neighbor the other day and he was telling that our neighbor across the road had installed a game camera in his back yard a while back.
There was what appeared to be a black panther in one of the first picture taken by it .
That's erie because those things aren't supposed in this part of the country.

There are no documented cases of black panthers in Ohio, Indiana, or anywhere else in the mid west for that matter.

TXDon, I do not think you can count on two mousers. The fact that the Bobcat is marking all over your cat's territory is telling you and your cat he is moving in. That means your cat will be history unless you do something about it. I do not think Bobcats are as good at catching mice and gophers as your cat seems to be, around here they stick to rabbits, grouse and even try for deer! I watched one stalk a doe while bowhunting 2 yrs ago. That was neat but he was highly unsuccessful. You need to decide what you want and go for it! Good Luck, Tim

My poor cat. He must have been really traumatized this morning. He's been inside all day refusing to go near a door and goes from window to window skittishly looking for Bob.

Your cat seems to have a definite opinion on this issue.

One of ours listens to what our outdoor dogs are doing. If they bark because someone unfamliar has come to the house, she starts growling.

Tim I think you nailed it. I took Gray2 out for a walk this morning and he did not leave my side. He smelled at every corner of the house and all the pot plants then he wanted back in. I think he knows he is now in a hostile territory.
