If I haven't yet let me welcome you to TBN. I would say that the answer you will hear most on the BB is to get a BB as wide as the width of you tractor and maybe a few inches more. I have a L4400 HST which is not as heavy or as powerful a tractor as the one you have and I currently have a 84" BB and I have about 600# of extra weight on the BB for a total of about 1100#maybe more for the BB. Weight on the BB is your friend.
Typically the better quality blades are heavier. If you can swing the price of the power shanks they are useful to have and make it a breeze to adjust. Do you have Top and Tilt on you tractor that would take the BB to a different level of operational ease.

Search Top and Tilt or TnT in the search function and there will a lot of reading there to answer a lot of questions for ya. I would take 2 sets of remotes to operate TnT and there is a lot of advice about how the right cylinders.

As in much of life, it often boils down to money. I just went through the decision process for a new BB for my L5030. After a LOT of thought and research, I ordered a Land Pride 84" 25 series. The 35 series with hydraulic or mechanical re-tractors are nice, but I just couldn't see how to justify the cost for what I do. I will pay to get what I need, but see no reason to buy more than I will ever need or use.

I do recommend a hydraulic toplink and this winter when I am not using my tractor I am going to add TNT as I have used it and it is great, but again $$$$

Oh, I once thought I HAD to have a ten foot wheeled box scraper and it gets used every four or five years at the most taking up storage space the rest of the time; lesson learned.

Good luck.

I would suggest reading your tractor manual for implement maximums and also pay attention to the ratings on the box blade. They rate them for tractor horsepower.

Buy something rated for a smaller tractor and you will be bending it up or breaking it. My first scraper blade was like that and I was a frequent customer at the local weld shop :( Since I upgraded to appropriately rated equipment ten years ago, nothing has broken :)

If you do not already have the available hydraulic controls and fittings, it will be expensive to have them added.
