1 tractor and 2 draft horses. All the power I need.
Well I have two. Can't decide whether to fix the 3 point on the 861 and put it out to my folks for work out there or to sell it and just use the 3038e for everything. If I sold the 861, I'd have more room for other things. Plus selling the 861 Icould maybe net enough to buy a set of pallet forks for the 3038e and a used trailer for hauling it around.

Yesterday I learned I could use a second tractor. My ford 4000 PS went south, not sure when I'll get it working. I NEED a tractor to finish the prep work for the barn I want to build this summer. So I can work on the tractor when it breaks.

Here's the real question...which should come first? The tractor or the shop? lol
I've done the draft horse thing too. When my son was pulling the pallet around leveling things out I kept thinking how much neater it would be if he were driving a horse instead of a 4-wheeler.
I remember many an afternoon spent on the back of our old mustang dragging a harrow around the pasture to spread out the "fertilizer".
I finally went away from the horses because tractors don't eat hay when I'm not using them. It looks like I'm getting back into the horse thing this year, though. That's part of why we were cleaning out the corral. My daughter is doing 4-H this summer, and we're bringing a few horses back to the house so we can ride.
Ya it is the classic "Catch 22" isn't it. It's funny till it happens to you.![]()
