"quit"Then quit. I have nothing against farmers, and I don't really care whether or not they get a brake on their plates or not. Farm plates are pennies on the dollar compared to all the other subsidies they get. I've known plenty of farmers in my life, and work with several. It IS hard work. Its more than that, its a hard way of life. That said, its still a choice.
I also wouldn't say that farming is harder than construction. I've worked for farmers (which is WAY different that being a farmer), and I've worked construction. With construction, the work is hard. With farming, the life is hard, or maybe more accurately the life is very stressful.
