Has anybody done the backhoe pivot move over a trench with a BX24?
This a move in which the backhoe is used to raise the back wheels off the ground, and, using the FEL as a pivot point, move the raised back wheels over a trench. Once the lower BH pivot point is over the trench then the stabilizers are lowered to support the back wheels (one of which may or may not be touching the ground).
Sorry for the confusing description... I think real BH operators will know what I'm describing.
This procedure is commonly used to connect two trenches. A variation can also be used to pass over a trench.
I practiced this move over a board matching the BH bucket wide (on solid ground) but it seems that the geometry of the BX24 is just too short to get the BH pivot properly over the trench. I've seen it done with a real BH, so I was wondering if anybody actually did it with the toy version...
