To make a statement like that I'd like to know how much experience you have had with lifting items. Hopefully you were joking!! I have lifted thousands of items, many to hi-rise buildings in cities, and never had problems except for when people without experience wanting to over engineer something. I've lifted with helicopters, cranes, forklifts, jury rigged booms, and what ever was needed for the job. His boom is for a one job use. Most of my lifts were overseen by the FAA, OSHA, City Engineers, etc. He has already stated that once done it will be dismantled. Structurally it is overbuilt and if used on level solid ground will more than suffice. The only thing he has to use is his brain and common sense!! Again I state that hopefully you were joking!!

Diamond is right on. I did the same exact thing with my old backhoe, but I just welded 2"x2" angle iron, 20ft lengths to the bucket. Used a big hook to pick the trusses up. 40 footers. It was a breeze, and made the job a cinch. You are good to go Phil!:D

I've got the same type of set up except my pipe slides over my bale spear (Loader attached not bucket mounted). I set 32' trusses on a 12' wall with no problems. People get killed all the time doing stupid stuff, just pay attention and work within the means of your equipment and your knowledge and you should be fine.

I stand by what I said I have lifted plenty btw how did you get your tractor to the top of the skyskrapers , I have also dealt with engineers over doing , but at the end of the day that is a piece of pipe held to a little tractor with dog run cable , ingenious? yes usefull? yes inventive? yes dangerous? absolutely sooner or later sumpin gon happen

I had bolted my pipe through the bucket with 2, 1/2" bolts, then welded 2x2 angle iron from the bucket top to the pipe. May have put a few gussets. The cables will be fine lifting, but if you tilt too far back the pipe may shift backwards. Keep a fresh pair of panties handy, as well as a roll of T.P.

Your cable clips are not installed correctly. You have them
alternating on the pics. "NEVER SADDLE A DEAD HORSE", or
you may become one. Saddle should be on your load line,
not the dead end. Just my two cents...
