Bar/Turfs - Why are they so unpopular?

Yes, they are the most expensive style tire that Kubota offers, but is there a good reason that they are so unpopular?

Any first hand experiences?

Dunno..I have regular turfs on mine and i love them..never had a need for anything else. Go well in the snow and Ok in moderate mud. Easy on the grass.

Depends on the need I guess.

I would have bought them if my dealer had made me aware of them. Never been a fan of industrial tires and turfs lack the traction I needed.

I din't even know that such a thing existed. That combined with high price may be why they are unpopular.

I personally won't pay more for something to replace something that is working well for me. Maybe other people are like me and that's why they are not popular.

On a B series tractor they list for about $90/pair more than Turfs.

They look specialized. Maybe if you had to work around a nursery for instance. Well drained soil, no grass, you need a little extra traction but you can't have the agricultural tires ripping up the ground around your trees/plants. Just thinking out loud.
