Just to clarify a couple of points that I forgot. Yes, I did have a SMV triangle, plus my tractor is pretty new, so the emergency flasher lights were running at the time.
And yes, I have had a couple of state trooper cars pass me in a manner when they safely could, and also 2 or 3 county sheriff cars, as well.
Funny about the guy getting a DWI on a riding mower.
Hey, ordinary drivers get mad, too. I have had several folks pull up beside me and give the one finger happy birthday salute. Any of you guys get that, too?

I got an old story but really funny. Back in the 80's a farmer down the road had installed a chevy 350 V8 in one of his old tractors. A cop clocked him at 40{something, can't remember exact details} mph in a 35 while pulling a manure spreader. The tropper gave him a ticket and told him to slow down. He had a couple of beers{heavy drinker} and didn't take kindly to getting the ticket. Well when the cop got back into his car, the farmer hit the PTO. Spread crap all over the car 
. He also got a DWI cruising across the local frozen lake, on the same tractor.

Oh, went to HS with a couple of twins named Kent and Keith Sweet. Thought you might have been Kent, going by " Ken ". I haven't seen them since 1965, so who knows where they are.

If I pulled over for every car to pass I would be on the road for hours. I just do my thing and they pass as they would another vehicle, cops included. I've never been stopped but at certain times of the year tractors are as common as cars on my road.

Exactly, thats my stance. When I first started driving the tractor to the field using the highway, I tried pulling over a couple of trips every time someone pulled up behind me. Both for safety, and lenght of trip, I don't do that anymore. And yep, here too, about the tractors being numerous on the roadway. After all, it is a Farm Road, and that what it is for.

The tractor has the right of way on the FM roads, it is just courtious for the tractor driver to pull over to let traffic pass. The judge would have got a good laugh if he gave you a ticket.
I have a funny story about being pulled over while driving a tractor. I was driving my international 1066 pulling a fully loaded hay wagon down rt 31 which is a state highway that my farm is on. The state police had set up a seat belt check where they stop traffic and check every vehicle. Well, when i was up to the check point the cops had a fit that i didn't have a seat belt. The couldn't believe that the tractor didn't have one. The whole time i thought to myself in gona take you to court if you give me a ticket. Amazingly i didn't get a ticket although i thought i was going to get one because of the way the cop was acting.
