Sounds like I need a electric cable remote control on my PTO switch. That way I can stand off to the side. You can also put a tarp or blanket on the cable to soak up the energy if the cable breaks.
Where in the heck do you carry anything on the PT. I know, the roof of the tractor.... But it is quite high up on the 1850. Not easy to put a chain, chainsaw, gas or other stuff.
I wish for a safe spot that I could put a hammer, a wrench, a screwdriver and a chain that wasn't in the way of something else, and easy to get to.
Carl,
As I was driving home last eve I was thinking about mounting ammo boxes to our new beast. I haven't taken the measurement yet but I'm pretty sure we can mount them to the sides (bolted to the hydraulic tank) just forward of the rear wheels, a few inches up from the bottom of the pan for better clearance. Easy access...kinda like saddle bags....

I've kinda wrestled with this too. I've thought about putting on the rops too but am afraid i'd tear it off.Its a good idea... some downsides.
This PT is very low, and goes everywhere. I think this area will get banged up a lot.
