Broken piece in joystick...where to get part?

It's a high stress part. I'd be surprised if adhesive will work. If you can do a solvent weld on the plastic ... maybe.

It looks like a simple part you could carve out yourself if you want it stronger than original. Pick the material you want to use and order some. I could make that with a drill, a saw, and a file. (I don't see how it's attached to the metal - possibly an M6 tap required?)

You could even make the new one out of metal if it can be kept greased..

Of course if the OEM part is less than $30 and if you think the design is okay just order it. If it's $10 or less order 2.

Called my dealer today, now they can get part! Sorry Dave, rather keep the money here in WV and I really like my dealer. After I had tractor awhile, I thought everything leaked down to fast. Told them and they came and got it, 35 miles one way, tested it overnight and brought it back. When he did, he gave me extra bolts for the swing chain. Didn't charge me anything! Aaron

Glad your local dealer could help, that is the way it is supposed to work. Does your dealer happen to be Tractor Pro?

Do you think model cement would work? It melts the plastic, but I know model plastic is probably softer than this plastic.
The hole has a little divet in it, if you were to look at it in cross section, it would be a very rounded 'M' shape. The ball that is attached to the joystick sits in the divet in the middle of the 'M'. Don't know if that makes any sense.

I was going to drill some holes through both pieces at an angle then put the JB Weld in these passages and hope the cross direction of them would add strength. If not, I'll order one.

Thanks everyone.

I think you are wasting your time. Order the part and assemble your valve once then get back to work.
