I am considering a larger tractor for more FEL capacity with a cab, A/C & heat, FEL, backhoe. That puts me in the 50-80 hp class. Foton with the Perkins turbo engine looks very attractive. Now where may I find a dealer with a good price?

How much is it that you are looking to lift? How many cubic feet and how much weight? What price range?

What do you currently have?

I have a Jinma 254 with a Great Bend 220 that will lift just under 900#, Great Bend 651 backhoe. Some of the larger Fotons will lift 3,100 #. I am not sure if the lift capacity is limited by the FEL model or the tractor, lots of variables.
Western NJ along US 78.

Thanks for the replies.:D

After looking at a Foton website and seeing the prices, I think that for a few grand more I would consider looking at some Korean makes also.

The reason I asked was we recently got a 13,000+ pound old 1983 JD 310B backhoe. It clearly is not easy to pop here and pop over there due to weight and size. However it will do some serious clearing by cutting the roots and pushing over the trees with the FEL.

If you like what you have for most of your tasks I was just thinking someing older and stronger might work for your larger tasks. For $10K on can with time fine new like older machines. My JD 310B has seen a lot of action. My neigbor found a JD 410 that may be even older than mine but wear points (pins and teeth) look like the day I showed up at the dealers lot new. Ones like his make sweet farm machines. It has no AC but does have a heated cab.

Desire for bigger and more power never never goes away. Now I want a trackhoe. :D

As for new-used. A new broom sweeps clean. I do not have the time to fuss with someone else's problems. Heat and A-C gives me a longer working season/day without being drained.

I agree but in my case a used broom was better than no broom. Kids start to college in 6 years and expect some kind of vehicle in 4 years.:D

Yes it is also a hobby learning and fixing issues. Since 1969 I have owned one new vehicle and was bored because I could not mess with it.

New buyers keeps the dealers in business and create a supply of used inventory for the used dealers.

A new broom would sweep our bank account more than clean. :(

I have actually found that a slightly used broom sweeps cleaner. Try it if you don't believe me.

I have also found that one to two year old cars and trucks tend to have the bugs worked out of them by the first owner, not to mention the depreciation and transferable warranty advantages.

Let's here it for depreciation!
