I have a kubota b7100 which has the three position adjustable rear track. For those that have a b7100 or any bota's with adjustable rear track what width do you run the rear wheels ? Mine have always been set midway on width. But I was thinking of going maximum outward position for a little wider track in the back for better side hill stability, but I dont know I figured I would ask all of your opinions here. Thanks............

If you have hills go wide and fill the rear tires with liquid ballast. Makes a world of difference on hills.

Lots of benefits from rear width; stability, less tip wrt ground on sideslope so implements dont dig in on one side, split braking works better. About the only thing I can think of thats bad is you reach a point where you just cant get between stuff. :mur:

Rear attachments and as you said slope tad more safer I found when I had my B7100,but when useing fel example snow/dirt you may want rear wheels to match bucket width.

It makes a huge difference. The extra balast the liquid provides helps weigh down your tires and provides excelent traction for when you need it most. Liquid balast also helps with loader work as it keeps more weight on the back end where you need it most.

yes i have hills and a fel, I am getting ready to add ballast to my rears I was figuring 7 gallons for the tire size 29x12.5-15, just switched them out to ags, too much mud and heavy snow work to run the turfs... But im keeping the turfs and looking for a new set of turf rims so I could switch between the two tires..... so if anyone has any. Also how does the 7 gallons a wheel sound ?

Roughy 40-50lbs per tire shall make differents.
AG's will have better bite but less rubber on surface..turfs w/chains also work well.

I just finished getting the ags remounted shimmed the wheel hub. It was very tight still but with a small wiggle, I shimmed it with brass shims folded over on each end. It fits really tight. I went middle setting, on the outer the hex axle spindle sits recessed by 1/2 inch not much but I want 100 percent axle to hex wheel flange contact so I went in the middle. I weighted each wheel 62 lbs worth.
To say the least I am delighted at the increased traction. With the ags I can do things in two wheel drive that was only possible in 4wd before, the traction is astounding. The turfs are in good shape but the bite just wasnt there for pushing into a pile of dirt for a scoop or my steep hill terrain etc. I also took a large scoop and the tractor is now dead steady thanks to the wheel weight. I wasnt sure if I had enough wheel weight, but I feel with the wheel weight and the rear attachment its plenty now (I have a box blade attached). So thank you all very pleased with it. It does work more like the big boys now. I love it and have since the day I got it, but I grew up running larger tractors. This little bota works more like a big guy now, it works like a real tractor........

I have a B7100 with ags, but don't have a fel. I have wheel weights, 40 lb each front and 75 lb each rear.

I have my wheels adjusted wide for safety. 46 inches measured outside to outside of rear tires.
