Why no camo tractors??

Does anyone really care if a tractor shows dirt? I bought mine to work in the dirt and have given no consideration as to whether the dirt shows.

We farm with our tractors and they stay pretty clean thru the summer. Winter, we stay in mud about 4 months feeding cattle etc. The tractors get a thorough cleaning, inside and out, 2 times a year on our farm. Ken Sweet

Mine gets more than a little dust covered whenever I do much of anything. No problems. But mud that packs in, dust that chokes, or debris that impacts the ability of the machine to work properly or cool its HST or radiator I am not casual about.

Manure is very corrosive. Being fastidious about cleaning is not always merely a vanity deal.

I can certainly understand that; use to raise cattle. Like Roy, I am retired and don't "have" to use my tractors in anything but good conditions. I don't like tearing up the ground, so in spite of having 4WD truck, tractors, ATV/RUV, if it's muddy they stay parked.

I find compressed air or leaf blower to be excellent for cleaning debris from the equipment, radiators etc. and then a good rain will finish it off.

Now I have had to pull a couple out of a pond and washed them then.

Let me be clear that I am not disparaging those who wash and wax their equipment, I just don't choose to.

I have a banker friend that I go to Church with and he washes his tractor after every days use. Lets it dry and pulls it inside. He has a 60 acre operation and using a $70K JD tractor for the chores. If it ever sells, it will be one of those that will bring more than he paid for it new. Ken Sweet

I guess I'm not in the mainstream here, but I kinda like camo paint schemes on the appropriate stuff. Not necessary for the dirt hiding ability but just for the look. Yeah, I'm a redneck! Check out my barn......(okay, it may be a shed but I consider it my barn).

All I see is a floating roof.

All I see are two floating windows & a floating AC unit.

Well, We have a 16 ft bumper hitch that we move it around on and we have used it for hunting, fishing, camping and skeet shoot headquarters on a hot afternoon, however, still have to try the floating. Ken Sweet

I meant floating in mid-air ... you know, because the camo's hiding everything else.

My (attempted) humor misses its target often.

I would caution you that it is better to use a garden hose on the bank, you're trying to out do the rest of us.

Nice paint job, but I would have been really impressed if you had bought the four colors of asphalt shingles and done a camo pattern on the roof.

I will get a picture of a camo Kubota as soon as it comes back from a mission.
I am a contractor in Afghanistan and we have an Army unit that is teaching the Afghan people about agriculture. It looks good out here.

I keep asking them to let me drive it but so far the answer has been no.
