I am such a moron, please forgive me all. I looked at the flowchart and see where I made my mistake, er, misunderstanding. I was assuming that anyone hauling 6,000 lbs. of ANYTHING, would be using a tandem axle trailer, with brakes on both axles, rated at LEAST 10,000 lbs. GVW. However, you can haul a 6,000 lb. something on a trailer rated at 7,000 lbs. GVW legally and pay the consequences only in the case of an accident. I guess then you could also plead ignorance. And as you all well know; "Just because it's legal, don't always mean it's right".
