Any Ideas on what might have been strained?

Got stuck in mud wayyyy back in the woods , managed to work myself clear using FEL and Backhoe . Afterward noticed a few things all FEL related.
Bucket tilt makes an unusual whining noise (always did ) but this is louder than normal when moving loader control lever farthest left and farthest right to operate bucket tilt.

Also where left Piston connects to FEL Boom I notice quite a bit of Black residue (which can only be described a if someone took a small blow torch to the pivot point where the left piston rod connects to the FEL boom). No residue was found on piston rod itself just around it and a little on the top of the folding FEL stand but it covered an area the size of my hand.

All operations (Boom up, down , tilt , float appear fine except for the noise and the black residue on the orange frame around the piston which covered a pretty significant amount of area.

I also noticed when I move backhoe Joy sticks far right or left same noise occurs....

So my guess is something Hydraulic relating to Joystick right / left operations must be damaged???

Any ideas what would make the Joysticks whine moving them far right or left and what caused the black residue on frame at the piston pivot point?

I have a BX and the exhaust hits the area you describe and makes everything sooty. I'd bet thats not a problem and you just now noticed. I would try and take all your hydraulic quick connects off and reconnect them. Its pretty easy to get them partly connected but not all the way connected. In other words, I'm hoping the sound you hear is not related to you getting stuck but is just a conincedence.

I noticed the black residue on my left piston after I noticed some drops of fluid on the floor. Raised bucket and found a slight leek at fitting in center piston. Tightened and stopped leak.
Also noticed exhaust shoots out at start up where the black residue is on piston. Since I didn't notice the residue until I saw the leak I was trying to connect them but there was no connection. That happens alot. We try to connect issues that have nothing to do with each other because we don't notice them until we start looking when one issue comes to our attention.

Something else I should have mentioned, when you bottom out a hydraulic cylinder, it caused the hydraulic relief valve to open up, and causes kind of a loud whine. For example this would happen when you go to dump your bucket all the way, but when the piston bottoms out, you don't let go of the joy stick right away, this will happen on any of the hydraulic circuits, including the backhoe.

Thank you both , upon further inspection, I believe your assessment is accurate - exhaust soot.

So now I only need to deal with the the whining when operating Backhoe or FEL joysticks when moving them directly side to side . Front to back appear fine.

How many hours do you have on your tractor?

Dodgeman I am familiar with hearing the Bottom out noise you refer too. It sounds exactly like that but much much louder than before.

Scoot,

Try reconnecting your hydrulic line on the BH, I've notice that sometimes the noise is a result of the fitting not letting the hyd fluid flow properly.
I may need to replace my fittings, you may notice that they also heat up.
Keep me posted,

Well I tried disconnecting and connecting all Hydro connections. Noise still present when I operate controllers right and left for FEL and BH.

All Controllers movements whether it be FEL OR BH forward , back, float etc...sound fine.
Only side to side action continues to whine quite load.

Broke down and placed a call. I have a service tech coming out on the 30th to see whats going on.

I would unhook the backhoe hydraulic lines like you were removing the hoe and loop supply back to the return (you don't have to take hoe off just do the hydraulics) and check the results.

Swap the bucket curl lines and the lift cylinder lines on the loader and see if problem moves with cylinder don't forget left and right will be up and down
and front and back will be curl.
