That warranty is good until Ridgid decides to stop honoring it.

Sears/ Craftsman tools used to have the same warranty, but Sears does not honor it anymore. The only company I can presently think of that will accept anything back for any reason is L.L. Bean.

Rigid has stoped producing the "unconditional" lifetime warranty, but will still honor any that are currently out there. Their current warranty is a "Conditional Lifetime Warranty" limited to defects in materials and workmanship. I guess they got tired of people putting long pipes over the handles and breaking the handles off.

Thanks HydruaLink again for your response. I'm contemplating going with an active hydraulic top and sidelink but am on the fence and definitely don't wish to buy both systems. This typically means I'll be paralyzed by indecision and likely be with the screw link for awhile.

What would it take for you to purchase one and give us all an unbiased opinion of it? Including pictures and videos.

Anybody get this work with Mozilla Firefox web browser? The hydraulink site keep locking up my computer. I have a set of rear remotes and for the price I'd just get a regular hydraulic top link.

Just a suggestion to the hydraulink folks. Who ever is developing you're web site you should make sure it's compatible with something other then IE.

Wow.. $230.00. Thats at least 10 screw type top links and almost $50 more then CCM hydraulic top link. You can get a blank cylinder from surpluscenter for under $185. I think you'll need to work on reducing you're manufacturing costs.

Like others said its a great idea, kutos for coming up with it. There is no way I could reach the valve from the seat so the remote would be required.

So-o-oo What are you saying? :confused2: Buy the major part for $185, buy the other parts needed and fabricate the link ... then sell it for $200? ... less? :confused2:

I'll pay more for a superior product...not necessilarily American. Same price, same quality...I'll take American/Canadian over forein. But then, I've never found much use for HF or WalMart either.

We are not in all cases forced to buy overseas, sometimes we buy overseas products due to companies exporting jobs overseas, and sometimes they simply have a better product. American products are not always what they used to be.

We sometimes are our own worst enemy, I still have not completely understood why so many people on this thread found it nessecary to be so negative regarding this vendors product, even priced where he has priced it, I do not see him making a killing on it, by the time he has R&D costs, has it manufactured, liability insurance, overhead..... there isnt a lot of room for major profitssome people just do not understnd all the costs associated to bringing out a product. If he was selling billions of them, then I am sure his costs could come down, but his market is probably not much more that 20-30 K units in the US, and @ $30-50 bucks a unit profit, he may stand to earn a cool mil on his idea, not totally excessive if his unit is a quality product that works as well as it looks

I to wish him luck, and if he does make his mil on this item, more power to him!
