Sorry, not yet. The prototype is being built for testing and a price structure is being developed. That's all I've got... for now. We are excited to get them out on the market too. We've had quite a few requests for them.

Have you thought about making an extension for the valve? On the smaller tractors you could reach the top link but there's no way I could on mine. Part of the appeal to, to me at least, is to be able to easily switch from float and solid without having to get off each time. I was thinking a simple cable with a knob on the end and a bracket you could mount to the ROPS.

We tried to give the valve a low profile to avoid the potential for damage. We are working on a remote for the system which has been delayed a bit due to circumstances beyond our control. It is in the works though.

As for your idea about a cable, I'm not sure what you mean. Can you detail it a bit more for me?

I've looked through their website and I've not seen where the Hydraulink will lock solid. The valve allows you to change the length, but it appears that it will always have the couple inches of cushion. Perhaps someone who has one can shed some light on this.

Are you talking about anti sway stabilizer bars? They connect from a point on the frame or trans axle to the lower link. Side links or (lift rods ) are vertical and connect the upper and lower links.

Just trying to understand what you are asking for.

Yes, the lateral stabilizers (5199353 for TN70a)... the vertical rods are termed tie rods in the NH catalog, the horizontal component (does the main pulling) are flexible links (if they have the ends that slide out for assisting attachment). Be easier if everyone called the same item the same thing.

The idea is to reduce the stress from a heavy implement banging back and forth, particularly around turns-- I have a lot of turns when bush hogging, and a bit more compliance when backing up and nicking a boulder or tree would be helpful too. Unfortunately, the stabilizers have no standardization, so it becomes custom for each tractor.

If I had the time, I might hack up a Hydraulink see how it works as a lateral stabilizer... its not the money, its the time...

Can you not adjust your existing stabilizer bars so that there is no banging side to side motion? I know that on both of my tractors I can adjust the stabilizers so that the implement is tight and has no side to side motion or I can have them so that there is a limited amount of side to side motion if so desired.

Most of the time with most implements I can, if I go back and forth a few times (choose a hole on one side, try to get it tight on the other side, if not, try a different hole). The stabilizer has one elongated hole-- almost a double length hole-- so that pretty much any implement with reasonable geometry can be handled. But, the hole is elongated which usually means quite a bit of slop if that hole is used.

What I usually end up doing is using holes that work, but have some slop. When going around a bend, the implement bangs along, which would seem to accelerate wear and tear.

A secondary consideration is that I am not convinced that the implement should be attached rigidly. Backing up with the bush hog and grazing a tree, the tire sidewalls squish sideways a little to compensate. But I think it would be better if the implement could squish sideways via something like a hydraulink (no, I don't think the tires would be hurt, but I do think that the machinery is better off with more compliance and less rigidity in this case.).

The way I'd envision setting up a Hydraulink stabilizer set is to set one side a little long, then on the other side push the implement to compress the far side Hydraulink while setting the near link. Thus, the links are both under a little bit of compression.

All the old folks probably think this is much ado about nothing. However, I've used the old style FEL clanking and bouncing along, and the one I have with soft ride (shock absorbing hydraulics like an industrial loader might have) and it seems a whole lot easier on everything having the shock absorption. Indeed, part of Hydraulink's claim seems to be that the shock absorbing capability of the toplink reduces some machinery stress-- although I may be reading more into what they are saying than they are really saying (and I agree with some posters, sometimes you don't want any movement from the shock absorbing feature-- I have a remote on/off for soft ride for that reason. The FEL moves too much when digging a bank with soft ride turned on. I can't really see wanting to turn off shock absorption for stabilizers though).

oops. I forgot. HydrauLink is a category 1. We recommend it be used on tractors up to 45hp but I've seen it work on a few larger ones. Our category 2 version is in development as we speak. We hope to see it in production soon.

You say Hydraulink is designed for Cat 1 up to 45 hp; I have a JD 5203, hp @56 but still Cat 1. Is that too much hp, and if so, how are y'all coming along on the production of your next up model?

Hi
Has TSC stopped carrying these??? I cannot find them anywhere on their website.

Several months ago we started working with a new manufacturer that changed this rule a bit. Although we have a category I unit, it does work on the smaller category II tractors as well. In short, you can now ignore the hp rule of the past. The category I unit can handle up to 5300 lbs and can be adjusted out to about 27". If this doesn't work for you, the new category II units should be available by mid-June. If you prefer, you can get an extended screw for the cat I unit when they come in at about the same time.

No, TSC has not listed it on their website yet. You'll need to call your local TSC store and give them the sku # 1018479. They can order it for you. I understand they are selling it for $199.

I have a cat 1 tractor (Kubota L-3010) but I need a LONGER top link.
Should I get an extended screw for a cat 1 link OR will the cat 2 link work AND be longer?
Thanks:confused:

Sorry for the delay. If I were you, I'd go for the cat I with the extended screw. It'll save you money. I will tell you though that we are waiting for a shipment of extended screws due in next month (sorry for the delay).

TSC is not doing you any favors.......after contacting them with the proper SKU, the salesman had no idea what i was talking about. I described it to him, still didnt understand. Said he would do some research and 'call me back'. That was 5 days ago.

Hmm... not good. Give me the store's phone number. I will personally call and get it straightened out for you. You can either email me or post it here. I know it can be done because at least one of the TBN-ers already ordered one this way. If you email me your name and phone number, I'll ask them to contact you directly.

I am the TBN person who ordered one from my local TSC. I just gave them the SKU and they were able to call their local buyer for the store and get it for me. I just picked it up this past Sunday. It took a couple of weeks for it to arrive after they placed the order as it is not a stocked item for that store. The $199 TSC price was better than what I saw mail order at the time with shipping Etc.

I have not had time to play with it yet.
