It's more like perseverance Ever since the NH threads about cracked bell housings, and I discovered mine has a crack, I have been watching my crack (hold the wise cracks, please) and trying to decide just how lucky I am feeling. I have no idea when it first appeared, but it hasn't grown any longer either over the past couple months. I did about 12 hours backhoe work with it two weeks back and that didn't seem to make a difference.

I would hate to pay that repair bill if I don't have to. It will bite me sooner or later I know.

3, first was 47 IH-M with fluid in tires, I grew up with an H and had no idea how much more an M was! Used it mostly for a tree skidder. 2nd was IH-340 utility with fluid that would pick up anything as long as you could keep rear tires on ground. Now 3215- Mahindra gear 4x4 with FEL and hoe

Have you considered trying to have it welded before it breaks all the way?
