If one section of the cyl had a different bore size, the fluid volume for both sides could be the same.
Now, that would be pretty cool! ... length problems?

Putting a longer screw end in it should be easy.

I hate it when I miss the obvious... Thanks Spyderlk, you're right. Yes, I suppose if you found a replacement screw for it, it would work. Just remember, that you need to leave at least 1" (preferably a bit more with this added length) of thread inside the HL to maintain its strength. Otherwise, you risk damage. The screw that is included with HL is actually 5 3/8" long but we tell people to use it out to 4" for this reason.

I was just ready to order a Hydraulink for my sub compact. I went over to the Hydraulink wed site and saw the only on-line retailer is Agri-Supply. Looking at their web site I saw the price was $20 less than the msrp. Great, I'll give it a shot. Then I saw shipping/handling was $38.50  I thought that can't be right, not for a top link. So I called and spoke with a nice sales girl that confirmed the shipping cost. She was shocked as well. She said if she had a weight listed for the item she could do get a alternate price for s/h, but she did not have a weight listed.

HydrauLink - I'm ready to give it a shot at the Agri-supply price, but the nearly $40 s/h drives my total cost up higher than comfortable. Perhaps if you can supply Agri-Supply with a weight they can quote more reasonable s/h?

Otherwise, is there a dealer in CT that carries your product?

Wow! That doesn't sound right at all. I'll make a phone call or two and see what I can come up with for you. Sorry for the confusion.

-UPDATE-
I have spoken with a purchasing rep who said they will look into it and get me a solution asap. They are very helpful but sometimes you just got to know who to call. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for your business. If you have any questions after you get one, just give us a call. We'll be glad to help out.

Thanks for the prompt action. Once you know when the s/h gets worked out, post and I'll place the order. I'm looking forward to giving it a try!

Cheers!

They probably don't have them in stock and just order for drop shipping.

Or, perhaps the nice gal taking the order was at a call center no where near the warehouse.

Inquiring minds and all .....

Thats true. I guess I'm living in the past..Didnt think of possibly not having one there. That could explain why they didn't know.Just seems that if you base your company's shipping on weight then anyone in the company would say hey wait. we need to fix this. But thats another whole subject altogether..lol Don't want to Hi-Jack..

Agri supply is a big retail outlet. They ship from their, warehouse like, stores. They can weigh it as I know they have several kinds of scales on site.

I called the 800 number mail order center, not a retail store. The order girl I spoke with seemed to be in a call center as I could hear a bunch of other people in the background taking phone orders. I don't think this girl would be allowed to leave her desk to go weigh a part. Even if she did, I suspect the order processing software would not allow her to enter the weight into the software anyway. I would expect a product update would need to be done by a system administrator, not a order entry person.

If you look up the product on the agri-supply site you can click on a link for "view current store inventory status". This will launch a pop-up lising the inventory at their retail sites as well as the inventory at their "mail order center". The mail order center lists 20 available and three of the seven retail locations list 3-5 aavilable. Four locations show 0 available.

I think this will get worked out.... No Worries.
