I primarily use my GC2400 for mowing and origially ordered turf tires. Since I also ordered a FEL my dealer sent me a unit with R4s. I was skeptical but have not had issues with tearing the turf. They also ride smooth on hard surfaces. The last reason I think I'll keep them is that I'm told the turf will squash more than R4s when lifting heavy loads with FEL. Haven't tested that yet.

"I'm told the turf will squash more than R4s when lifting heavy loads with FEL."

Yes, they will. Turf tires, by design, I guess, have "soft" sidewalls, and they WILL squish down with loads. So far, however, mine have held up...

I still haven't gone too far into the woods yet, but am beginning to get there. That's where my turfs may fail me.... we'll see.

Miy turfs don't squash at all.

Well, my little beastie just pulled out her first stump! Kinda dirty --wet soil-- but it'll clean up OK. Took a while, took some patience... and this stump was pretty small!

Pics don't show it, but there was a pretty steep slope to go down to get at the stump; not much room to maneuver between the still-standing trees-- but it did it! (And no flats yet!)

What size tires are on the front/rear.I noticed it can be had with ag tires but the stock ones look like they wear out fast

I have R4 Industrial Tires front and rear. They are Titan - Trac Loader Tires. Fronts are 18x8.50 - 10 NHS 4 ply, and the rears are 26x12.00 - 12 NHS 4 ply. NHS is not for highway service. Good luck with your search for a tractor . KC

the ag tires on mine do squash down a bit, but they will handle everything that the fel will pick up.
