I just bought a stainless lever action Marlin 1895 chambered in the 45/70. Very nice shooter and will drop anything roaming Vermont. Ammo is a tad pricey, but she sure is purdy.

Good Afternoon Art,
Nice... I love the old lever action rifles !

The last purchase was a Ruger 10/22 with target barrel and laminated stock along with a bunch of other goodies... one of those things you see and just have to have if you know what I mean... :)

My Uncle Dave is the resident gun expert and once I saw his ... that was it for me ! :)

Why does every thread eventually end up about guns??:confused2:

Perhaps the site name should be changed to "firearmsbynet?

I believe a lot if not the majority of people who like machinery such as tractors, ATV's/UTV's etc are also gun owners. All of the discussions forums to which I belong regularly evolves into a firearm discussion.

Guns are much more interesting than Dr. Phil....er, I mean Dr. Rob....

Careful Frank, or you will join "beenthere" in that place where you will be amongst the people who are not regarded in the highest esteem. That would truly be a sad thing to happen to you, you seem like such a nice guy:D

I won't say how many guns I have, but even byIdaho standards I am considered well equipped. I'll wager it is not hard to deviate from a tractor thread and have it evolve into small block Chevy modifications and BBC tire shredding escapades.

Nah, they're different and that's one reason why we like them. I get along great with my honey for 20 years now but our minds do not work the same way. IMO, this is what makes a married couple great parents.

Well said.

Old Brownings, Winchesters, S & W handguns .... works of art. You mean there are guys out there that don't have a big block Chevrolet ? Amazing !

Hard to imagine. I am down to one, depressing really. Big Block Oldsmobile is entirely acceptable too.

Just stumbled on this thread and it's been a great read. BTW, the only fight I've ever lost with my wife was when I slipped going around a corner. :D
