We're Legal!
The Zoning Board approved our request to live in the camper while building the house. We can stay in the camper for 6 more months (until Jan 13, 2011) while we complete the house. That's a big relief! One less thing to worry about.

Obed

Congrats. Looks like someone used there head in government for once and could see you mean no harm and its only reasonable for you to live on your property.

Add my congrats to the list.

Makes you wonder who was jealous of your set-up. Perhaps the guy you had to fire for poor workmanship.

Six months!!! That's great because as we both know, things just don't happen as fast as we wish they would. I do hope you beat the first snowfall. ;)

Obed -

Looking very nice! I'm really impressed how the red brick stands out so nicely in the middle of the woods.

Have you had no bites on the river property? Sure looks like a nice piece of land....

The brick workers finished the brick on the front of the house under the front porch. In front of the garage, they put a course of block on the footers before laying the brick to save on brick.

The brickwork looks good Obed. I have tried laying some brick and found it is not at all as easy as it looks while watching a mason. Much more difficult than concrete block IMO.

What sort of brick ties are used these days?
Dave.

I've watched masons lay brick a couple of times and couldn't help thinking that this has to be a learned art. They make it look way too easy.:)
