Getting my first fence installed, quick question

-- you could just squeak by with 1 gallon if you can get 400 square feet of coverage.

If it was a flat surface a gallon might do it, but when spraying round posts there will be a LOT of waste.

Agreed. And I seem to use more paint when I am spraying flat surfaces than when I am using a roller or brush. But I'm a pretty sorry painter.

2 coats of Sikkens and you won't have to touch them again for many years. They'll be really pretty too. Ain't cheap though, $60/gallon, but I'm a believer in getting what you pay for. Should take about a gallon each time, which works well because you can put the base type Sikkens on and then the finish type Sikkens. It's actually sold as a 2 step process (or 3 if you want to overkill it). Stuff is thick and lasts. Gives the look of a clear wood bar top with the real thick epoxy poured on it.
