just take the one you need to carquest or napa and they will make it up for you in about 10 minutes and it will be right-not expensive either compared to the local tractor dealer-just replaced 5 on my kubota loader-so savings were good-there hose was rated higher then Kbota's----------hope this helps

I think he is trying to find a consumer market. But like it has been stated before, why stock a bunch of hoses not knowing what you may need, if you can go to your local Napa store and have it made. Sure that single hose might be more expensive, but still cheaper than stocking a bunch of hoses you won't need. The only way I think this can be justified is if you have a machine or machines that has the same hose fail on a regular basis, like certain implement hoses.

I wish I could be more help to him, but I have had my own Weatherhead machine, hose, and fittings, for the last 10 years and buy them at wholesale. So I can custom make hoses with 2-wire hose for slightly more than they sell their hoses for.

lately my hose insurance has just been to keep a spare long one that would fit the longest connection or the short connections with the excess routed out of the way.

not a perfect fit.. but with a couple wrenches you can change it inthe field and not quit working as long as you don't loose more oil than you have with you and your spare hose..

the way I read it is he is looking to find out the most common size in diameter? perhaps to buy it by the roll and cut to length himself.... what I've purchased for my cut is SAE-1/2 although not sure if this is a standard size for most hydraulics.....

the higher the volume, the larger diameter you need. I'd wager 3/8 hose is pretty common on soft line / non motor applications untill you get up to high volume cyls / larger equipment.

The TSC near me makes up whatever you want, while you wait. Just started this year, I think.

wow... the staffers at my local store are doing good if they can find an item hangin on the wall .. I'd never trust a hose they made...
