Yeah, we have a hunting lease in Ludowici. About 1300 acres. I also use it for digging ditches and installing drains for clients.

Ok, so being as I was the one that brought this thread back from the ancient archives, do I get a coupon for a new attachment, a pat on the back or just a "wtf" were you thinking? Anyway, it has to be one of the longest (timewise) threads around, even if it was by mistake.

You receive the official Caveman award :D
BTW --> welcome to the Forum

Yea i should have included the other scenario, some sort of dirt work contractor or landscapper.

Thanks for the welcome. Been on here for a short time and already have learned alot. I own a contracting company and do some landscaping when the client needs it. I'll post up some pics of my toys. Maybe tomorrow I can take some pics.

Carey, I am originally from Va. I graduated from Old Dominion. My kids however are starting college this year. Twins, son at GSU and dautgher at KSU. So as for Dawgs vs. Jackets, no horse in the race.

yes it looks to be built of heavy steel, plus the fact that you have a quick hitch will contribute to rear weight issue, sending implements further from the tractor, my previous tractor (kubota L140)
was about the same size as the ym-1500... the person who I bought it from had shorten the lift arms to where would help with any rear weight problems, not that there were any problems as for as the tractors ability to lift but more so of keeping the front end of the tractor down, even with the shorten lift arms I had to ad ballast weight to the front, I could only imagine how much easier the front would had come up had the arms been of standard length,..... the bush hog would had only been approx 6-7" from the rear tires,

Although the weight is not too bad, it does make it a little hard to make sharp turns when the front wheels don't like to stay planted. I tried without the QH and it didn't seem to make a difference. I am either going to weld on a steel I beam to the front or mount a winch on the front. That should give me another 150-200 lbs. on the front.
