Wow this post was dug out of the graves!

I wonder what is the oldest post on here? so far this one being '02 & 8 years seems to be the one :D

I signed up on 3-10-2002, and was among the first for the Yanmar Forum. There are a few posts from 2001, but I suspect they were transferred over from another forum. As I recall, the TBN Yanmar forum was arranged by Roger_Scottie, when we were on the original Yanmar Groups Forum, which I joined in the summer of 2001.

open any of the forums and click "last" in the content index...it will take you to the first posts in that forum...

fo instance if you do so in the Kubota forum you will find posts from April of 2000

the "Internet" has really been around a lot longer than what most assume...it was the advent of the "web browser" that brought the Internet to the PC world...

before the web browser (GUI) everything was accessed through a terminal screen (CLI)...

not to hijack this old thread...but I'm curious how many users may remember "PINE"...i.e., Pine Is Not Elm ???

any USENET users among us ?

Sure. A little searching would find a few conversations I had with the hats in AFU. I still read some Usenet forums but haven't posted there since before Y2K.

Anybody remember Fidonet, back before the public was allowed into Usenet, before hypertext?

Ok, so being as I was the one that brought this thread back from the ancient archives, do I get a coupon for a new attachment, a pat on the back or just a "wtf" were you thinking? Anyway, it has to be one of the longest (timewise) threads around, even if it was by mistake.

Jesnic, do you live in an ATL subburb, use the tractor for a hunting lease, or have family land? Why would you need a tractor in the concrete jungle?
