It sure does sound like a dealer issue, all that stuff should have been checked before delivery. I am surprised JD has such poor dealers, they need to be made aware of that.

Methenol is NOT a enviormentally equivelent to RimGuard, so you won your case there, at least with me

I would go white if I was you :D

But I am biased

So instead of making things right they have opt'd to take the tractor back. Wasting my time/gas/engery and loyalty to JD.

Honestly I would be happy with this result. Sounds like you got a tractor built on Friday. I have heard all new tractors will have some issues. My tractor has a small hydro leak on the three point but that's it.

Rim guard is beat juice right?

Well, methinal is not beet juice, true, but it works [if they put enough methinal to water],doesn't freeze, and don't rust your rims,I got methinal in my rears and am happy with it,so,not a real big issue for me.

The other stuff would be though.

Thanks for the help everyone, I will be contacting them this week.

I was holding off to see if the LD Dealer would at teh last min fix the problem but they have choosen not to.

Heres the short verison:

Bought the tractor and brought it home in rain storm and put in garage
next day was able to get on and start working with it and found the following issues, Load match switch that was installed didn't work, turn signals-switch didn't work, and large hydrualic leak coming from under the tractor. I contacted the dealer less then 24 hours after I picked it up with the above issues and got a phone call back they had gotten my call and emails and would be intouch. 20 days later and number of calls and nothing.....i fired off an email and called the service manager and finally got oh we are so sorry...blah....blah....blah.....

They came and picked up ( which to thier credit was at their cost)and told me no more than 2 weeks I would have it back. In mean time I finally after a fight get the info on the tire ballast I asked for. When we were negoiating the price it include filling both tires with Rimguard or enviormently equivolent and I get Methonal which I specified I didn't want. So I call them back up and working with store manager after 3 weeks get well we aren't going to put the right stuff in the tires but we will pump it out and give your a credit (not enogh to cover the cost of the proper stuff) I finally lose my cool and tell them I have had it and if they were not going to do what I paided for they could have the tractor and I would find another dealer (more likely find a differnt color tractor).

Did some reseach scine and found out it would have cost them another 250 bucks to make things right and the way they agreeed to in the 1st place.

Oh and funny thing on top of all this is "oh that saleman in no longer employeeed here"

Not to mention the 4 week wait when I bought it til I could pick up ( it was on the show room floor and only thing not there was HD bucket.

My dad, grandad were JD men and I have always wanted one till now.

Found out the reasons for the stuff wrong with it:
Loadmatch switch was hard installed and never "calibrated"
Turnsignal were not pluged in to the back of the dash
Hydrualic leak was a rear seal gone bad

So am I over reacting? I am beyond frustrated and upset!

Ooppps. Sorry I asked.

You have every reason to be frustrated.

The one thing that bothers me is the Hydraulic leak. That sounds like a Deere issue that they should have worked out with the dealer. It's these type's of issues that cause me to lose confidence with the mfg.

Kiss that dealer good-bye and find a good one.

Check back to let us know what direction you chose to go and best of luck in your search for a good dealer and a good tractor.!!

No problem...just wanted to give them last chance to fix things!

I have emailed and called JD and now am having problems contacting a human being at corporate. Anyone have ties to another dealer that might give up the contact info, I am not going to call this dealer back anymore, I might not be able to watch my mouth.

Just an observation - If I read correctly the dealer has taken back the tractor, canceled the deal and returned your money. While you don't want to deal with that store any more, this action suggests to me the dealer doesn't want to have any further contact with you either.

There are always two sides to any story. No matter how right you are, it's been my experience that when one (or more) of the parties in a dispute is at the point where "I might not be able to watch my mouth" - the chances of an amicable resolution quickly go downhill.

Seems like both parties have an opportunity for a fresh start.

Well I welcome this dealer to find something I did wrong, I exshusted everylast bit of patient and flexiblity I can imagine. For them to not honor what was agreed upon is the straw that broke me, I was and am still understanding of the other issues that were inconvieant but fixable. Plus I still haven't gone on here and blasted with thier name.

Yes they took it back, I feel the right thing would have been to give me what I paided for. I still need a tractor and have needed one to do a bunch of projects since this started in May.

However you entitle to your opionion, but customer service should be important at some level.

Does sound like you've had a settlement, and maybe have shot yourself in the foot already with any additional compensation.
Sorry to hear that it all didn't work out in your favor. Down the road, you may wish your resolution would have been different.
Don't see where corporate Deere has the time to rattle anyone's cage here, and corporate offices have several layers of buffer between you and them. Mostly, they will probably stick behind their dealer as the dealer is their "front line".
Lick your wounds and get a tractor for your work and play. That will be the best cure for your frustration (we'll hope anyway). :)

Cinder and BeenThere.....What has bferris done wrong.??

I see nothing therefore....I am here in his defense.

Sounds to me all the mistakes and problems originated at the dealer and at Deere. No.?? Deere built the tractor and the dealer "set it up.".....Wrong.!!

I mean, I love Green but, geez, some of you think they and their dealers do no wrong.

What's up with dat.??

Don't you get PO'ed when you pay for something that you didn't buy.??

JD
I didn't say he did anything "wrong".
And we are hearing one side of the story. Usually there are two sides.

Some things need to be sucked up and move on. Just more frustration on the road the OP is wanting to travel.

But he can go that way if he wants. I feel for him too.

Akin to getting a ticket for something you didn't do, and then deciding that fighting it in court is a sure-fire way to bring yourself down even further. I've beenthere. :) Life is not always fair.
