To those buying a set of pallet forks, a bit of news.

After a First Article Inspection last night, I'll be picking up some of the plates today and planning to get started working on them right away. They looked great.

Also, check on the Order Status page. I have finalized the pricing and calculated the shipping. If your Total Due is in green, you can send the remaining balance and you will be paid in full.

After looking at all of the small expenses, combined with offering the 5% discount for the first week, I won't be able to get the cost down any lower. I will still look at the production time and refund anything I can with your shipment if possible but I don't want to hold up getting your orders shipped.

Hey All,

Just thought I'd give an update on the builds. I've made a lot of progress over the weekend. There are a couple of new pictures on the Eye Candy page of the website.

I've been reminded of a bit of a downside to waterjet cutting the plates; surface contamination that has to be sanded away. A lot of time has been spent just getting the crud and blemishes off. It's making me seriously consider going to laser cutting instead. It took about 4 hours to sand all 114 plates, both sides!

Anyway, I expect to be able to start shipping orders later this week. I'm just waiting for some new sandblaster gloves to arrive so I can clean up the edges of the plates, then I can start shipping the Option 2 orders, at least. The option 3's will follow shortly thereafter and so forth.

Catch you soon!

Update: Anyone planning to pick up their orders can get in touch with me to make arrangements! I'm hoping to have the majority of the builds finished after this weekend. I've been making steady progress each day, at least on the days when I'm not running around to the welding supply store or John Deere or wherever...

Hey Gents,

Tremendous progress was made this weekend. As originally promised and agreed for July 31, the first set had to be readied and picked up by my very first buyer, (Mr. AK) on Saturday. It was a pretty big moment for me to see the first one leave (they grow up so fast...).

My painter had scheduled with me last week to come on Sunday to paint all of the Option 5 frames so I got some help and a new blasting booth out of necessity. Thanks to my brother, Todd, we got the last one prepared just in time and the painting went off without a hitch. The JD Green primer & paint is directly from John Deere and it is incredible stuff. The black fork paint is a toughened industrial coating provided by my pro painter, perfect for the application.

All that is left now is to finish the half-done Option 3 and 4 frames, blast everything that needs it, then it will be time to ship! I'm shooting for Friday if I can get some help packaging everything up.

Thanks everyone for your patience! Oh, and please excuse the mess in the photo. There isn't much time for organizing this week.

Ha ha, funny you should mention that. While picking up some supplies last week, my JD dealer parts guy asked what I was up to so I showed him some pictures on my phone. He said I should bring a set up for them to consider putting on their floor for sale. Wow. Who'da thunk?

Of course, that will have to come later, after everyone here gets theirs first.
