Loader Lightweight pallet forks for 200X & 200CX loader

Just wondering if you considered pricing the plates laser cut instead of water jet. My company uses a number of lasers for production, and only has one water jet for prototype work. It cuts much faster and might be cheaper than the water jet.

Yep, I know those forks. They're about the best thing going out there that I saw commercially!

I just thought the conversation was important to have to state, here is about the best that is available commercially. Very good product. Here is how my design compares and here are some of the benefits. DIY savings. Weight savings. On a 200CX weight savings is important.

Hey CJ,

Yes, I did. I have had laser work done for me over the years and it wasn't necessarily cheaper, just faster, in my experience. But then, I've always worked in prototype quantities too. With the number of parts, accuracy needed, and finish desired for this application, I decided waterjet was the way to go.

A sad side note is that we have a Cincinnati laser at my "full time job" but I have no access to it. It's just for in plant work, no exceptions. :(

Hey Folks,

I've put together a little web page showing the status of orders so people can see exactly how far along their order lies. I want everyone to be able to know what is going on at all times (including me, :)).

So this is a window into of the magnanimous operations taking place in pursuit of making the best JD CUT pallet forks in the world! I'll be trying to keep it updated as often as possible.

And remember, if you are thinking about getting a set, it is best to do it sooner rather than later so I can consolidate and minimize the expense for everyone.

JD compatible Pallet Forks

Thanks again to everyone for your interest, trust, and confidence.

Hey everyone, I adjusted the costs down a bit since I have enough volume of orders so far to combine some of the work to be done and save some time. You can see the updated pricing and the effects on the cost of your order at the web page:

....Oh, and I expect it to go down even more once I get to doing the builds and if more orders come in.

sweet, too bad I bought mine from everything attachments last year.
Great we have more options than the ridiculously heavy JD forks!

Hey Chris,

I'm sure you're a busy man these days. Just wondering if it is possible to get a quote on just the attachment plates with hooks and pins? I saw your link on how to weld the pins. Sure appreciate the info, but still don't feel proficient enough to do it myself. Mainly because all I have is a MIG welder. Your attachment plates will come in handy for any do-it-yourself project.

Like Deadman, I got a set of forks from everything attachments. I would have definitely been on your order list. I like your design, well thought of and light.

Hey Adan,

I haven't forgotten about your PM and thanks for posting the question in the thread for me. I'm doing all I can to keep up with keeping up and some things are slipping a bit, such as responding to questions. No excuse.

Aaaaanyway, I don't have pricing for this yet. I plan to order the waterjet plates for all of the builds tomorrow, once the discount period ends. When I do, I'll ask for a quote for just the interface plates and then I can get some pricing for the kit/assembly about which you are asking. Terribly sorry for the delay, it is nothing personal.

As a result, the whole assembly weighs just 180 Lbs, the same as the 49" bucket. The forks and slider rails make up 150 Lbs of that weight, which were purchased and out of my control.

i just re-read the 1st post of this and noticed the total weight....GEEZ! the forks i'm going to use weigh 120lbs..EACH! i'll be lucky to get it done in under 400 lbs...i guess it's not all that bad, i'll just lose about 200lbs in lift capacity vs the bucket.

Defed, depending on the size of your tractor, that is ALOT of lost lift capacity.
I had a local guy build a set for my JD 2520, and it was useless with them. They weighed more than half of what the loaders capacity was.
Then i bought a lightweight set, and its like a whole different tractor. It lifts 3 times as much now, because there isn't soo much Iron hanging out front.
Before you spend all your time and money on a heavy set, consider these lighter units......
