Well, don't forget that they may now be 2-in-ones, thus no more heat cycles:D

I think both jumping and the cattle guard are definite possibilities. Since he knows what electric is, I’m guessing it’s the cattle guard, but that’s just a guess. Will be interesting to hear the final verdict. Texasjohn makes a good point, he may lose interest if he covered them all. Not sure how many you have in there. Any reason you didn’t want them bred, or just wrong timing?

I've never had real luck with an electric fence keeping a determined bovine out of some place they wanted to be. I've had an agitated cow get pushed up against a 5 strand electric wire fence, get popped, swing around and in a frenzy, charge thru it taking the entire fence down...

I've not personally seen a bovine walk across a cattle guard, but in spite of their width, I've seen several cows and steers jump across a cattle guard.

No doubt, a wound up or determined cow will get through almost anything.

The bull is pole vaulting over the gap. Enter him in the next Olympics. And that is no bull.:laughing::laughing:

Hey, Farmer Bob, I think you have uncovered a possibility for a whole new TBN thread.... when you discover the truth re your diminutive bull, you can post it in a new thread titled "wild cattle tales" and invite others to tell theirs...should be fun....seems everybody has at least one good story:thumbsup:

I once watched a cowboy on horseback chasing a half grown steer in a pasture that adjoined mine. When I saw that steer running full bore right through a 5 strand barbed wire fence into my pasture, I went to see how much damage was done to the fence, and there was no damage. How that steer went through a good tight barbed wire fence without leaving any sign of where he hit it was just mind boggling to me.

I've had steer shimmy thru a 5 strand fence as well. one crossed his pasture, went thru my mule/horse pasture, and got into another pasture with cows..
