2006 3120 with almost 400 hours

mods, vertical exhaust
2 forward facing and 1 rear JD work lights
Fire extinguisher
Quick hitch
gator blades on MMM
Turn signal guards, lights mounted to guards.

Problem, new battery about 1.5 years ago, fixed corrosion problem like everyone has with the series.

Other than normal maintenance, absolutely great tractor!

2009 JD 3520 with Power reverser, 300 CX loader and 60D MMM, 279 hours.
Only real trouble were the ROPS pins I could only remove and put back with a big hammer (dealer settled that at the 50 hours).
Disappointed by the 3rd SCV and the control of hydraulic implements connected to the rear of the tractor (log splitter, hedge trimmer, etc).
Apart from that I'm a great fan of the 3520 and PR trannies.

2005 3720 OS, 300x FEL

added:
imatch and my implements :D

bad:
1. the fuel sensor does not work, the tractor read full or 3/4 full all the time
2. a wire that goes to the seat switch had corroded and the tractor would not move
3. ran out of fuel once (due to the fuel guage) but once we put in some fuel, it fired right up.
4. PTO seal leaks oil all over where we park the tractor
5. tippy on hills
6. slow leak in front tire
7. air filter is difficult to get to
8. tractor over heated a few hours after delivery (air filter was jambed full of dirt)

Otherwise, it has been a great tractor and it currently has 1100 hours.

2009_3320 with 300CX FEL.
197 hours.
It was delivered WITHOUT part # AW32589 which is a frame piece that ties the FEL to the front of the tractor. At delivery you could not remove the ROPS pins without a 3lb hammer and punch.
Added 2 rear facing worklights and tied them to a switch on the right hand fender.

2007 (dec 5) 3320 os 810 hrs, 447 16", 300cx 61 std bucket, 7' rear blade, 5' bush hog.

Adds / mods:
jd umbrella ($100, will get hard cover when its shot)
cc in tubes in rear tires (done day after I got it) and put wheels in wide also.
2 forward facing (non JD) and 1 rear JD work lights
engine heater (works great after 15 min plug in)
Fire extinguisher
HF Quick hitch
Femco weather brake (house heater) for the 3320 (dec 09)
tilt meter (I live at 6100' on a hill with 46 acres of rock/trees, I've been at 22 degree max so far mowing)

problems:
fec 17, 08 - error code 12, bad sensor in fwd, fixed by dealer (not one I got tractor from, tractor at sons house) by swapping from a new 3x20 parts until found bad part. Was moving a LOT of snow for days (sons gets 500" + each year), deep snow could have cause the problem.

Hi

I had a new 3720/cab with a 60" front mounted snow blower, and a 300cx FEL delivered late in December 2009. I have about 50 hours on it.

I have about 800 feet of driveway. Going from a 755 with a 48" snowblower which I had for 23 years to being inside and warm was worth every penny. Handled all the snow no problem.

I have had only one issue with the tractor - the parking brake does not seem to work properly. I stand on the peddles and push the button in and the tractor will still roll. I need to get the dealership on it.

I have a Landpride 60" rear mower, works great. I also have a Landpride rotary tiller that works great.

My only complaint at this point is the tractor is very unstable. I live on 20A most of which is hillside. I had hoped to use the tractor everywhere but it is just too tippy. I can only use it on about 10% of the property. I had wanted to mow more with the nice inside AC and no dust. I need to use my Kubota Z326 for most of the mowing, unfortunatly out in the dust and sun. I do not want to put the wheel extenders on because that would just make a mess of the snow blowing with wheels wider than the blower.

Overall I like it, I am not sure the quality will last the 23 years that the 755 did, which is still going fine for the person who purchased it.

If JD had a smaller tractor with a cab like the 3x20 series I would have purchased it. I did not need a big tractor as I have a Case 685.

2009 3520 Cab approx 350 hours.

Horn was in line-to-line contact with battery case (from dealer)

LH blower motor stopped working (at approx 50 hours) due to a pin push out in left hand blower motor electrical connector which I fixed and doucmented on TBN:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/john-deere-owning-operating/147904-jd-3520-c-blower-motor.html

Torn roof seals (from factory)

Squeaky steering wheel when turned (on going)

Difficult to engage/release park brake (on going)

Difficult to select PTO as lever will not easily move into position- have to exit cab and turn pto shaft then attempt to move lever. (on going)

Tippy on slopes.

I still love my JD !

Everyone who posted here has helped. There seems to be a lot of misinformation out about different problems with the 3x20 and 4x20 tractors. One of the more recent ones was the discussion about the front axles being sealed and them having leaky axle seals. Although that might have been true for the older tractors of a different numbering system, it does not seem to be true for this series.

It looks like most of the issues with this series has been setup, or something small that was corrected while under warranty. That is goos news for anyone looking to buy, or someone who owns this tractor.

We can go farther with this and make charts and lists, but the facts seem to be that this tractor is a well built machine without many issues. If we keep this thread going, we can find any issues and learn how to correct them if anyone has the same problem.

Thanks for everyones continued help with this!

2010 JD 3720 Cab 12 hours No problems. I took care of the "tippy" ride with 6" wheel extensions. This make the machine much more stable. I like the cab and the a/c works great. Did I mention the radio? I going to fire it up right now and listen to the turbo diesel whistle.
