Guns, Banks & Wild West Texas

Oh gosh, I'm digging a hole! What I am trying to say is that I personally think that when crooks have easy access to more potent force it's a bad recipe.

The motor vehicle argument has no relation as my point is related to crooks having acces.

Anyhow, I should not have posted, sorry.

Morning Jimmy,

I disagree with your thoughts, but I'm glad you posted.

We need to feel safe to post our thoughts or we loose the sense of community that this forum gives us. Nothing wrong with disagreeing with one another as long as we don't try to degrade the other because they disagree with us.

That said, here are my thoughts on this issue:

What I see here is people being required to leave their Constitutional Rights at the door when entering a private business or residence. Would anyone agree to leave other Constitutional Rights behind also? The right to a fair and speedy trial? Where do you draw the line? If it is a guaranteed Constitutional Right, then it is a guaranteed Constitutional Right! The US Constitution doesn't loose its legal authority at someones front door. How can someone claim/expect that their property is protected by law and then claim that the Constitution which gives those laws their authority has no authority in that same location? Personally, I don't think that this type of sign should be allowed to be posted anywhere in the US.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for posting Don. :thumbsup::thumbsup: to you and the bank that the article is about.

...and Jimmy, I give you :thumbsup::thumbsup: too for posting your thoughts on this.

Ha ha ha. Thanks Cyril. Note how I changed my Avatar to a gunslinger!! LOL :D

It's all good. I don't mind a different point of view, I just don't like offending people (I don't think I did, but I am VERY sensitive to American rights and freedoms, perhaps overly so.)

"Ballad of Paladin" by Johnny Western, Richard Boone, and Sam Rolfe
Performed by Johnny Western

Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.
His fast gun for hire head's the calling wind.
A soldier of fotune is the man called Paladin.

Paladin, Paladin Where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin, Far, far from home.

He travels on to wherever he must;
A chess knight of silver is his badge of trust.
There are campfire legends that the plainsmen spin
Of the man with the gun,
of the man called Pa-l-l-l-l-a-din

:D:D I have seen every episode many many times!! :D:D

Well i own enough hand guns to supply a small (very small) army and none of my guns have ever shot or killed or robbed anyone. I think more Criminals means more crime. . . lock them up and keep them there.

I second that 150%. No handguns mean they just use pipes, bats, knives and other weapons on you.
More criminals are on the way as more people with FAE(Fetal Alcohol Effect) and FAS(Fetal Alcohol Syndrome) enter the main stream. The drug culture makes sure we have plenty of people with poor thinking and reasoning skills on the way to more then replace the few that go to prison.
Read up on that FAS stuff if you don't believe me. It is plenty scary as that population continues to grow.

I went to a local, popular furniture store yesterday to purchase a mattress for my son's bed. When I walked up to the door I saw a sign on each side of the door stating "no weapons allowed".

I promptly left that store and went to another store that just sells mattress and boxsprings and made my purchase there.

I think if I lived in Texas and managed a bank I'd have the same sign. You gotta do what matches the environment you live in.

That's a very sneaky and back-handed way of dissing The Republic of Texas!

How's that hole coming Jimmy? Need a little help?

:laughing::laughing::laughing:
Dave.
