Okay first the clarification. I bought my tractor from the finance company without a dealer (repo). So I went over to the closest dealer and got a fuel filter. I didn't take the old one with me since I had not pulled it yet. I guess I will on all future parts. Now I have the old one off and it was pretty dirty and I hate to put it back for the weekend. And what is best to clean the plastic fuel bowl.

that's pretty darn dirty... I replaced mine after 100 hours, the manual says to just clean it in kerosene every 50 hours, and replace every 400... I will most likely replace it every 100 hours. How many hours on that tractor???

Chinese tractor???

Looks like somebody found a solution to their hazardous waste disposal problem - export it to America.

If the fuel filter looks like that at 44 hours you might want to change all the fluids and filters.

Got photos of the tractor? Does it LOOK like it only has 44 hours (shiny new paint, no dents???) I wonder since it was a repo, if the previous owner tried to totally trash it out (like sugar in the fuel tank?) Like California said, I would change ALL the fluids... even what's left in the fuel tank...

Chinese tractor? Wasn't your Yanmar made in a Siberian toy factory, :)?

Okay more information. Yes 44 hours is correct. Tractor was shiny new with no dents. it had no scratches on the bucket. It did however sit for some time after being reposessed. I will put a new filter in and change it again shortly. hey there only $5. Here is my tractor. Oh and the oil was still good and clear.

To clean the fuel bowl, I typically just use clean fuel and my finger and/or a rag.
