You gotta be kidding me. They're tractors. Snubbed over a tractor hat? Those knuckleheads need to get over themselves. How could you feel superior or self important over a tractor?
BTW, I own 2 Harleys and I don't treat metric bike riders any differently than H-D folks when I'm out.

If they were half of what they thought they are they would have at least disscussed the preconcieved merits of their brand over yours!

We actually have found we have better luck selling jd people the Kubota's then the red!

Just to much bias by them to even consider a red tractor!

It's been amazing how much of a difference performance can make in the way some people react.

I'm inferring that it was an antique tractor show, as it usually the deal with these.

Some of these guys are stuck in the "good ol' days", you know, before "them Jap tractors" came along. Therefore anything that represents the end of that golden age is perceived as a threat to all these guys hold dear about the tractors and the times.

In which case, it's probably not as much about the fact that it's a Kubota hat specifically, as it is a reminder that times have changed, and you were cramping somebody's fantasy trip down memory lane.

Wear a TRD (Toyota Racing Division) hat to a vintage street rod show, and you'll likely get the same sort of reaction.

My guess it is a "buy American" vs. "foreign" thing ... both for Deere and Harley owners. Some people still fear foreign brands and believe the foreign brands are taking away "good, high paying American jobs". I hope this isn't too political.

JD the company has always had the attitude that they are the best and to consider a different colors was well.....! Many owners picked up the same attitude. I think it is a laziness that they don't want to bother to look at different colors. If it is a foreign thing then they better look at the Made in label on their smaller tractors, 'cause we all know where they come from. Many of the mid sized come from Europe.
So just ignore them and give them a little pity. At least an orange tractor comes from one factory. Lost count on how many places a green tractor comes from:thumbsup::laughing:

I don't think that is even relevant. Who needs those silly manufacturing jobs anyway? Detroit can be the poster child for why manufacturing jobs are not needed. WTH - the whole state of MI is prospering without manufacturing.

When as a group we choose to adopt the Walmart mentality and jobs migrate to offshore locals many things happen.

Head Offices are no longer located in NA. This costs additional jobs, and creates lost economic activity. When NA becomes a branch plant, hiring will be last and firing first. Profit reinvestment will be decided offshore and not necessarily to the benefit of NA. Corporate income taxes will be minimized leaving others to pick up the difference. There is a loss of legal control over decision making.

We have both Kubota and Deere here on the farm. They're both great brands and have their ups and downs.

But I wouldn't be caught dead on a Honda over my Harley. 7
