I recently bought a 2002 GMC 4x4 regular cab. I'd like some kind of box for behind the seats to store stuff in. It seems like years ago I remember when you could buy one that was sort of triangular shaped that would fit behind the seats. I'm looking for something to store a tow rope, tie downs, that sort of stuff in. I've searched on line, and it seems like everything is meant for crew cabs. Any ideas?

I think Northern Tool sells boxes to put under the seat.

Know nothing about the company, but here's a possibility:

Du Ha Truck Back Seat Storage Units

The price looks painfully expensive for a piece of plastic though.

Not long ago, you could buy these things at parts stores or Wal-Mart.

Given that regular cab trucks are getting to be an indangered species, this kind of stuff is getting a little harder to find.

I have not seen them for years. I would try JC Whittney.

My 99 F-150 Regular cab 4x4 had one in it from the factory and so does my 08 Titan. It also has a storage compartment between the left rear and the bumper that hold my straps, 2 draw bars, and 4 ratchet straps. Pretty handy.

I had a Chevy pickup made back in the days when the gas tank was inside the cab behind the seat.
I made a box for it that sat above the tank. It was the width of the cab and sort of a trapazoid in cross section. Just ripped some 3/4" plywood and screwed it together.
Easy to build and probably cost <$20.

Fellows, may I shift gears and ask about a seat back storage box (or ANY OTHER METHOD) for my Kubota L-3010. It has no embedded wheelwell box like a JD has. Where do I keep my hammer, wrench, pliers, BEAR SPRAY etc?

This might work for small tools etc

Tims link is kind of what I had in mind, not exactly, but probably the best I will find.
