Greetings folks. New to the forum although been reading it for some time in anticipation of getting my new (to me) Kubota B21 (1300 hrs). I took delivery last week and spent the entire time since getting rid of rust spots and doing some touch up painting. You know how it is, I want it look like it's sorta new even though it's not.
Yesterday I took it for a drive down a two mile gravel road that winds through the valley I live in, not far from Folsom, CA. It'll be my job to help maintain this road. I wanted to get used to the feel of the box, throttle, FEL, HST, all that stuff. For a while there I put the box down to confirm that with the road so hard and dry this time of year, it would indeed bounce along the top and not do much. It performed exactly as I expected!
The neighbor calls me up this evening and said he found a six inch bolt and bushing laying in the road and heard I was down there yesterday tooling around with my tractor. A little disconcerting, I've been out there this evening with a flashlight trying to spot where a bolt that big might have fallen from. So far, no luck. Tomorrow I'll head over to his house to pick up the bolt and see what it looks like and then do some more searching under the tractor when it's daylight and I can see better and won't mind getting a bit dirty. If I'm lucky, the bolt fell off some truck or something and not from my precious tractor. Fingers crossed.
I know, it didn't happen if I didn't take pics. Tractor pics and avatar coming soon.
