Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

They make it difficult to order over their website.

Just phone Camarillo. (HF world headquarters).

I ordered the unlisted adapter for the Quick Hitch by phone, and then parking-canopy structure repair parts. Both transactions were effortless. And both orders were surprisingly inexpensive.

I think they get a lot of phone orders from customers who receive their monthly (quarterly?) mailorder catalog. The process works well.

We use them if we replace an engine that had a 3/4 inch shaft with one that has a 1 inch shaft on some of our snow throwers in order to get the drive pulley to fit

Just ask anyone; I just list the junk ones in here with my one "find" out of a cart full. I'm tellin' ya, if you don't have at least a couple of those yellow handled hammers, you're missing the boat!

then stop adding to this thread. how much stuff have you bought there that was soooooo terrible? it sure seems that alot of their stuff is of reasonable quality for the price, as evidenced by this thread. maybe you just do such hardcore and heavy duty work, no "common man's" tool could possibly stand up to the task at hand.

I thought there was another thread specifically to list the "bad tools"- although I do not see it used as much as this thread. Perhaps Kubota 2350 could ressurect it so we have a list of what to avoid.......and Dargo can find out his soon to be bargains from the "fire-sale":laughing:

Good point I'm so trained to use the computer I forget the other methods!!

Overall I have had good experience with items purchased from HFT, but I have learned to normally avoid purchasing the cheapest item. I have also learned they website doesn稚 show all the items they sell; you really need to get their large catalog they mail approximately every 6 months.

For example, many years ago I purchased the "US General 80 Gallon Compressor" http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa...D ACCESSORIES&SubCategoryName=Air Compressors At that time this compressor was only listed in their large catalog. This is a great compressor and has worked perfectly for years.
