Just got my used BX2200. So far so good. I have the loader valve & 60" MMM.
First attachment I'd like to look into is a power angling front mount blade-something that can push gravel & light piles of dirt around, maybe some snow as well.

What do they cost new from Kubota? Are there other brands that fit?

I think the 60" blade for the Bx series is about $1400 and the sub frame is around $600. I've been looking at the 60" blade for my B3200, and they are about $2600 :confused2:

I've also found that dealers really aren't willing to negotiate much on the price of attachments, not like they would with a tractor. I can't get any dealers to come much below list price.

WOW! Thats ridiculous.
Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on CL.
Also look for Deere, Massey and (larger) Cub Cadet plows on CL. It wouldn't be overly difficult to adapt a power angle plow made by one of them to a BX2200. I can send pictures and measurements of the Kubota mounting system for the BX2660 (which is the same IIRC) if you need them.

Builder, Kubota does offer a 54" lighter duty front blade, which is fine for snow and probably moving loose material. However, it comes with hydraulic lift only, no hydraulic angle. Price is somewhere a bit north of $1K I believe and uses the same quick hitch as the 60" blade and front snowblowers.

I picked up a 54" blade slightly used from Messicks and a new quick hitch, then added the hydraulic angling by having mounting tabs welded to the hitch and plow frame. Cost me around $175 with paying for the welding. If you can weld yourself, you could do it for less. Here's a few pics.

So if I understand you, the 54" blade is light duty non-power angling and the 60" blade is heavy duty and power angling?

Yes, but like I said the 54" is fine for snow and loose material and hydro angling can be added aftermarket. I got the idea from another member here at TBN. Another option would be to buy the quick hitch and adapt a used truck plow blade to fit it.

Last year I think Barlows quoted me 1800.00 for the 60 inch with hitch delivered here to Mass. I would check with them. Also CL in New Hampshire is a good start. Usually some there about this time of year.

Kubota Tractor BX2763 60

$300 less than what i sold mine for last February. These are rare and do NOT depreciate. FWIW

This sounds high, but if gotten for another $100 off, it would be a good buy, believe it or not.

So at $1,500 a good buy?

I'd shoot for $1400. All they can say is no. Hard to do with a cash buyer standing there. The cheapest I have EVER seen this setup go for on Craigs is $1300. Closer one gets to snow, they are impossible to find, at any price. The factory produces so very few of these setups. There isn't a huge inventory of them around. Very sought after. YMMV.

Here's mine, last year. In late winter, I put it on Craigs at $1800 and the phone rang off the hook. Gone in a week. I know, I know that is retail, but, when the dealers don't have them in stock and the snow is still coming down.....

It's not like they wear out. Basically, all iron and steel. A used one is as good as a new one. imo. $1400 is about 25%-30% off list and that's about as good as it gets.

Well actually the 54 inch is for the BX 1500 1830 & BX1850 models and the 60 inch is for the BX22xx 23xx 24xx 25xx and 26xx models as well as for the BX1860 model .

Here is my 60 inch blade attached to my BX1500 and another shot of it in action plowing snow.

You got a good price out of your 60 incher.
I would call 1400 to 1600 a good deal on the 60 incher.

Thanks LB. You didn't list the 60 for the BX1860. You might want to check "build my Kubota" @ Kubota.com and then adjust your list above a bit.

All I see is a picture of you trying to cut your hedges on your tractor while hanging from a crane....

Here's another option for you if you're anywhere close to NC. Tripped across this link on another site. Don't know what they charge, but it might be worth getting a quote from them for a frame mounted blade for your BX.

I think that's for a FEL set-up...

"We can build your front blade with most any type quick attach or pin on connection for no additional charge. ". You may be right, but I took this statement at face value thinking if you gave them dimensions of your front frame, they could fab something up for you.
