4320 cab and 8' garage door

I couldn't find that information on the JD website. It would be a close call. I suggest you call a JD dealer and he should be able to determine the height with cab.

I doubt it. I'm not at home, so I cant take a tape to my garage doors, but my open station 4720 doesn't fit without dropping the ROPS.

I asked him, he wasn't sure.
I've heard that it's 94.5" to the top of the cab.
Was wondering if someone actually tried it.

This is from the 4x20 operator manual. Does not list R4 height, but does show significance of tire size.
Height From Ground (Tractor without cab, with standard R1 tires)

I just went out and put a 2x4 across the top of the cab of my 4520 with R4s. At the rear axle, I measured 94.5".
It's close enough that I'd go measure one yourself, then measure your actual garage door opening. It might be an 8' opening when framed, but how much was lost to the trim and door seal? Hopefully the ground is level with the garage so there's no angling going on either.
I put 8' 6" doors in my garage. At the house I specified 8' 6" doors but the architect blew it, so I have 8' 3". Still enough for the 4520, I've had it in there.
Measure 3 times, buy once :laughing:.

From the floor to the bottom of the trim piece it measures 95.5".... And yes there is a slight incline.

jgrreed, don't get me started on the architect. Everyone I meet who is thinking of building a house, I bring them over and by the time I'm done with them there's no architect in their plans.
Rockgod, OK on your measurement, not to be insulting but in the interest of avoiding "architect class" errors, the door goes all the way up and a tiny bit then some?
It's odd that Deere made the rops 1.2 inches over 8 feet, but made the cab 1.5 inches under. I wonder if, since open station came 1st, they realized they were close and got it on the cab. Well, at least I can dream that when things work out is was by plan and not chance :laughing:.
You might be able to get the dealer to agree (in whatever form works for you) that the 4320 will fit in given your 95.5" clearance, and that if it doesn't you can return the tractor for a full refund. That would let you order with piece of mind.
