Rear jacks or legs to keep it from tipping and going for an unexpected ride when loading not hooked to vehicle.

What happens you drive on ramps back of trailer go's down front go's up lifts of front jack and trailer scoots away with you half on and off.

Awesome. Zactly what I was gonna say. They also help when loading and unloading even when hooked.

I will add good rubber. No cheap Chinese trailer tires and trailer brakes if it's used on the road.

Plenty of tie down mounts.

I would consider using the same size rim/tire as your tow vehicle if at all possible. Of course, this is often impractical. Can never have too many spares since it is not uncommon to have two flats on the same side when it all goes wrong.

You did good going with 5200lb axles, seen alot of bent 3500lb axles on 16' trailers, especialy when turning with a load, they is alot of axle twisting torque and I myself have rolled a few tires off the rim, always check tire pressure before hauling heavy loads.

I would second the motion on some type of jacks or supports in the back for loading my tractor. Pick the back tires of your truck up and you have no brakes to hold it. Have seen trucks end up in a pond and in the back of another truck because of this. Definitely new tires, good wire connections under the trailer. Sounds like you are on the right track.
