Considering a 4200

And back to your tractor.... the 47 is mounted with what they call Rockshaft Assist Mounting Plates. Its an in-between mounting setup. Stronger than a 3pt mount, weaker than a true subframe. Whether it should concern you is up to you.... do a search and see what you think for yourself. Lots of people have had zero troubles. A handful have the opposite experience.

Deere is still using a similar set up, aren't they, Arrabil?

Good Morning,
I live in SE VA and am looking at a private sell 4WD 3320 with 300CX and 448. It looks like new and has 253 hours. I have seen it but not tried it yet.

The owner is 72 and selling most of his equipment. He said he kept this in the shed. Not sure what he used the 253 hours for as there are no marks. There is no evidence of new paint.

He said he brought it for $27,000 3.5 years ago and is asking $22,000. He did all the services as he did not like the dealer service prices. I assume there was warranty work so I will ask today.

What is a fair range to look at as offers for a new looking piece of equipment?

I would make an offer subject to the dealer inspection. Not sure if that is normal, but what I do with used cars.

Thanks sfloggie

Interesting. It is definitely a 47 backhoe on a 4200. The seller said it was subframe mounted. He said "it isn't some weak POS 3 point mount, this is subframe, the real deal."

Seems like a nice enough unit, I would price out the hitch parts at your dealer to fill in the package. This will help you arrive at a total cost for the tractor less any repairs needed. Might want to price out any other implements you are considering at the same time.

I'm pretty sure. I thought I saw that they beefed it up but then couldn't find it again.
