Stabilizing Cross drawbar for trailer

I have an A-frame hitch I bought from a business around here called Redland Hill (I think...) which they modified to make it cat 2, and reinforced it so I could haul my 12K dump trailer around the property for brush and mulch. My tractor handles it beautifully in my fields as I have a JD 5210. Before I dump, I lift the 3 pt hitch to it's highest position in order to further increase the dump angle and empty the trailer more efficiently. This item I have cost more because it was custom made and reinforced, but their handihitch isn't too much more than buying some brackets from TSC and compromising with what you're trying to do. I think I stumbled across them on ebay, but then I discovered they're local and dealt with them directly. Good people.

That is what I have used all summer on our NH T1030. It works but the different profile arms make you get a little creative with the attachment location.

Yeah, I just got back from TSC and almost bought that item but it looked like it was made to attach with the holes facing horizontally and the rectangle slot didn't seem to be oriented the same way my lift arms were. If one of you happen to have a picture, that'd help. Otherwise I'm looking at this item... which receives the hitch I use from my truck. basically you what you need is a drawbar lock. I personally dont like the add on side bar locks. When lifting the trailers, it doesnt stay a horizontal plane. What you really need is a add on for connecting to top link bar to the drawbar. This way when lifting, th drawbar stays flat, along with stopping the spin. Its really nice this way without locking the ball coupler when just moving trailers quick.

Yes, and now that I think back I believe I had it backwards, in other words, I was probably not matching the ends correctly, I believe it may work now. It's so hard sometimes to buy the right thing without having your tractor there.

We have one of these: Straight Clevis Pin & Clip, Standard - 0268852 | Tractor Supply Company which goes over the end of the lower 3pt arm and into the end hole on the drawbar. It doesn't keep it parallel to the ground, but it is close enough for what we do.
This works on our B7500 and our L3830.
