Tree falls on Tractor will Homeowners insurance cover it?

I am guessing $2500 damage anyone else have an estimate?

Maybe $2500 for the parts only, assuming the only hidden damage is the
fuel tank.

It does not have to be a big tree to do that. How big was it?

I guess it depends on your coverage and agent. We checked with our State Farm agent several years ago and again recently and were assured such would be covered if it happened on our property.

I agree with others on the whole "fault" thing; irrelevant.

Wow, does my heart go out to you, friend. I had a close cakll with a tree and a dually pickup, but fortunately only scratched up the side of the bed. So sorry for your bad luck, that sucks. Trees are funny sometimes, every once in awhile they do something that seems to defy gravity, or a gust of wind comes up on a still day...I'd echo the thoughts of previous posters and try to look at the side of "Thank God no-one was hurt..." Tree that big could easily have killed someone...

I'd also echo the thought that you should act like you presume that they'll cover it until they say otherwise. Insurance companies are the lowest of nthe low when it comes to trying to escape their obligations....Hope you make out ok

As others have said - glad you came away unscathed.

I would imagine HO would cover it. I remember another thread on here where the poster was dropping a big tree and it went into his living room. He had indicated that the insurance company didn't bat an eye and it was significant damage IIRC.

As several others mentioned, glad you weren't near the tractor when it happened. Anything I offer on coverage would be speculation...best to check with your agent. That does make for a bad day........

I feel your pain. See my post, wounded Mahindra, from two weeks ago. The tree that got me was on the ground. Stuff happens. Hope it works out for you.

My guess for parts/labor is $10000. Good news is insurance will probably cover it if you had homeowners but of course you will have to pay the deductible.

Dude, I crunched my hood last week trying to roll a 6 foot diameter x 4 foot log onto a pile. The loader slipped and the log weighing -wild guess- about a ton rolled onto my hood. sounded like a beer can. Luckily the grill guard caught it before it did worse. You're not the only bonehead.

Oh man I am sad for you ... My bet is there will be no issues with your home owners other than the deductible. Keep us informed.
