Oh my gosh....I'm glad no one was hurt, tractors can be fixed/replaced. I don't think $2500 will cover that though. I have called my agent twice to go over my tractor coverage after reading about stories here on TBN. Both agents in the office have told me that my tractor is covered by HO's as long as it's on my property. I have specifically asked what if a tree or large limb falls on it and they say yes, it's covered. I never thought about me dropping the tree on it though. Like others say, maybe that doesn't matter, if your house catches on fire it doesn't matter if it's because of lightning or because a candle you just lit catches the Christmas tree on fire.
I had the same thing happen years ago to my beloved Bronco. Fortunately, It was only about a 18" tree and I had taken the fiberglass top over the bed off. The tree landed squarely on the upright mounted spare tire and bounced off the side....it was a one-in-a-million shot and didn't do any "real" damage. What a sick feeling it was to watch that tree fall and what glorious relief ensued. I learned a lesson that day. It appeared impossible that my vehicle was in any way able to have been hit by that tree but the only impossibility to to be able to foresee every scenario.
