Can we make a minimum post count before someone can make a for sale or wanted ad?? I am seeing so many one time postings in the for sale section and never participate.

I think people sign up specifically to post their ads... yes, it's a shame that some of them don't enter other discussions but I'm not sure we want to restrict the ad posts to only regular members. Or do we?

I think as long as they are not spamming it should be ok. You never know when that older widowed wife wants to sell the tractor or implement out back for dirtcheap.

I think not, because there are only so many things that the active members have to sell. Others who are trying to sell out may have no interest in participating but it may be to our benefit if they post their ads here?
Possibly?

I posted an ad the other day for my scrape blade and it never was approved.

I guess I don't have enough posts yet.

I didnt know you had to be approved to sell something on here. Is that true and if so what are the requirments?

When you post an ad, one of the administrators has to review it and approve it before it shows up. That's to prevent the kind of scams we've all seen on ebay and craigslist at times. I reckon how long it takes them to get that done depends on how busy they are at the time, but they usually get it done pretty soon.

With a minimum post count requirement, we will have the usual SPAM the forum crap with useless posts just to get to the required minimum.

We all know how that is.

Either way, we will have "not everyone's idea of correct usage" happening here
